AWA Publishes First Labeling Sustainability Report

AWA Alexander Watson Associates has published its first Sustainability Report on Label and Product Decoration Market investigating the global landscape of sustainability within the labeling industry.

As the label volumes continue to grow year on year, its growth prospects continue to become increasingly influenced by increasing consumer pressure regarding environmental concerns, legislation, and industry guidelines for all levels of global value chains.

The newly published report investigates the global landscape of sustainability within the labeling industry, including breakdowns of popular labeling methods and assessments of the current landscape.

Each of the main labeling technologies; pressure-sensitive labels, glue-applied labels, sleeve labels and in-mold labels are being taken under the loop and marks out its market environment, variants and end-uses, positioning and sustainable development and recyclability.

Furthermore, AWA goes into detail to present how typically each of these technologies is being used across different container types, such as rigid packaging and flexible packaging.

Macro trends are significant to understand the current and future landscape of sustainability in labeling; the report identifies and discusses different aspects, such as policy and regulation, design for recycling, consumer trends, brand initiatives and packaging megatrends.

AWA also gives a comprehensive overview of different projects run by associations and other organizations with different geographical scopes and parts of the value chain.
