Coveris Wins Green Star Packaging Award

With sustainable solutions and a strong focus on resource conservation, Coveris’‘No Waste’ vision has been honored with a Green Packaging Star Award.

The Green Packaging Star Awards have been held annually since 2008 and are presented by the magazine Kompack and the Austrian Research Institute for Chemistry and Technology.

The awards celebrate sustainable packaging, as well as packaging-related innovations in the operational process.

Coveris won the Green Packaging Star Award in the Environmentally Friendly Corporate Strategy category.

Coveris already produces packaging incorporating recycled content, material-saving lightweight solutions, as well as a wide range of easy recyclable monomaterials. Additionally, the packaging manufacturer is aiming to run all production sites with renewable energy.

Coveris’ packaging technologies were also finalists in this year’s Green Packaging Star Awards: PaperBarrier Seal and MonoFlex.
