AWA Alexander Watson Associates hosted the first edition of the AWA International Linerless Label Conference & Exhibition on June 12-13, 2023, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Building off AWA Seminars and AWAVirtual events on the subject, this conference provided a dedicated platform to learn about market developments, solving problems, and meeting colleagues across the value chain and all linerless label application areas.
One of the highlights during the AWA International Linerless Label Conference & Exhibition was the recognition of Mike Cooper, who received a special award for his leadership and pioneering efforts to establish and grow linerless technologies.
As read from a congratulatory note to Cooper, from Calvin Frost, chairman, Channeled Resources Group, stated, “With your leadership, ‘Linerless’ is now a household word…….Our industry owes you a debt of gratitude, and the AWA award couldn’t be more fitting”
Wayne Middleton, Senior Linerless Segment Leader EMENA, Avery Dennison Label & Packaging Materials, Europe, added, “Mike’s early recognition and foresight of the impact of climate change and the need to reduce waste and carbon footprint is commendable. A huge thanks to AWA for the recognition of Mike’s contribution to this linerless journey and this well-deserved award.”
This annual Conference will next be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in June 2024.
